Zohar, Idra Rabba 50
Section 50 of 52 in Idra Rabba — 19 segments
Segment 1
It has been taught: all those adornments above, which are in the holy body (a variant adds: in male and female), the whole of Adam, are drawn one from the other, and are held fast one in the other, and water one another — as the blood is drawn through the branches of the veins to this and to that, hither and thither, from one place to another; and they are the waterings (a variant reads: measures) of the body (a variant reads: to the body). They water one another, they give light to one another, until all the worlds are lit, and are blessed for their sake.
Segment 2
It has been taught: all those crowns that were not included in the body are all far off and unclean, and they defile everyone who draws near to them to know words from them.
Segment 3
It has been taught: what is their desire for the students of the Torah? But because they see in them the holy body, and would be included through them in that body. And if you say: if so, here are the holy angels, and they are not within the whole of the body — no. For, God forbid, were they outside the whole of the holy body, they would not be holy and would not endure. And it is written: “His body also was like the beryl” (Dan. 10, 6). And it is written: “and their rings were full of eyes” (Ezek. 1, 18). “The man Gabriel” (Dan. 9, 21). All of them are within the whole of Adam — save for those that are not within the whole of the body, which are unclean, and defile everyone who draws near to them.
