Section 23 of 52 in Idra Rabba — 5 segments
Segment 1
R. Simeon said to the Companions: When this curtain that you see above us was spread, I saw that all the adornments descended into it and shone in this place. And one curtain, the lamp of the Holy One, blessed be He (a variant reads: the splendour of holiness), is spread upon four supports, to four directions.
Segment 2
One support is set from below upward, and one shovel is in its hand; and on the shovel are four keys, sharpened (a variant reads: toothed) on all its sides. And they take hold of the curtain and bring it down from above to below. And so with the second support, and the third, and the fourth. And between support and support eighteen feet of the supports are held, and they are lit by the engraved lamp (a variant reads: by the engraved splendours) in that curtain. And so for the four directions.
Segment 3
And I saw these adornments shining upon it, and they were waiting for the words of our mouths, to be crowned and to go up, each one in its place. And when they were set in order from our mouths, each and every one went up and was crowned and set in order in that adornment which was set in order here, from every (a variant reads: by the breath of every) mouth of each one of us. And at the hour when one of us opened his mouth to set that adornment in order, that adornment sat waiting for the word that went forth from your mouths; and then it went up to its place and was crowned.
