תִּקּוּנָא תְּשִׁיעָאָה. מִתְעָרְבִין שַׂעְרֵי עִם אִינּוּן שַׂעְרֵי דְּתַלְיָין, וְלָא נָפְקִין דָּא מִן דָּא. קוּם רִבִּי אַבָּא, קָם רִבִּי אַבָּא וְאָמַר, אִלֵּין (אינון) שַׂעְרֵי דְּמִתְעָרְבִין עִם אִינּוּן דְּתַלְיָין, אִקְרוּן מְצוּלוֹת יָם. מִשּׁוּם דְּנַפְקֵי מִמּוֹתְרֵי מוֹחָא, וּמֵהַאי אַתְרָא רְמִיוּ, כָּל מָארֵי דְּתַבְעִין חוֹבֵי דִּבְנֵי נָשָׁא וּמִתְכַּפְיָין. אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, בְּרִיךְ תְּהֵא לְעַתִּיק יוֹמִין.
The ninth adornment. Hairs are mingled with those hairs that hang, and they do not go out one from another. Rise, R. Abba. R. Abba rose and said: These (a variant reads: those) hairs that are mingled with those that hang are called “the depths of the sea”, because they go out from the overflow of the brain; and from this place are cast all the lords who exact the sins of men, and they are subdued. R. Simeon said: Blessed may you be to the Ancient of Days.
