Segment 1
Ra'aya Meheimna. (Ex., folio 25a, “and you shall take.”) “And you shall not profane My holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel,” etc. (Lev. 22, 32). This precept is to sanctify Him every day, to raise His holiness from below upward, just as He is holy above, until His holiness ascends to the Fathers and to the sons. And this is the mystery of “and I will be hallowed among the children of Israel”: above and below. Above, in three grades; below, in three grades.
Segment 2
Sanctification: we have explained it in many places. But as there is sanctification above over all, so there is sanctification in the middle, and sanctification below; and all is in the mystery of what is below. The sanctification of the highest of the high, in one mystery; the sanctification in the middle and below, three grades which are one.
Segment 3
“Holy” is the supernal side, which is found to be the beginning of all grades; and although it is a hidden side, it is called “holiness”. From there a spreading spreads out, which shines in one thin hidden path, within the middle. Once it has shone within the middle, then one Vau is inscribed, which shines within this “holiness”, and it is called “holy”. From this shining a spreading spreads out below, the end of all grades. Once it has shone at the end, then there is inscribed in the shining one He, and it is called “sanctification”; and we have explained it.
