Segment 1א׳
וְתָא חֲזֵי בְּאֶמְצָעוּת דִּרְקִיעָא אִתְקַטַּר חַד אוֹרְחָא קַסְטְרִירָא וְאִיהוּ חִוְיָא דִּרְקִיעָא דְּכָל כֹּכָבִין דַּקִּיקִין כֻּלְהוּ קְטִירִין בֵּיהּ וְקָיְימֵי בֵּיהּ תִּלֵּי תִּלִּין, וְאִינוּן מְמַנָּן בִּסְתִירוּ (ס"א בסטירו) עוֹבָדֵי בְּנֵי עָלְמָא.
In the centre of the heaven there is an illumined path, which is the celestial dragon, and in it are fixed multitudes of little stars which are charged to keep watch over the secret deeds of human beings.
Segment 2ב׳
כְּגַוְונָא דָא כַּמָּה חֲבִילֵי טְהִירִין נָפְקֵי לְעַלְמָא מֵהַאי חִוְיָא עִלָּאָה קַדְמָאָה דְּאִתְפַּתָּא בֵּיהּ אָדָם, וְכֻלְהוּ מְמַנָּן בִּסְתִירוּ עוֹבָדֵי עַלְמָא, וּבְגִין כָּךְ אָתֵי בַּר נָשׁ לְאִתְדַּכָּאָה, מְסַיְיעִין לֵיהּ מִלְּעֵילָא, וְסִיּוּעָא דְּמָארֵיהּ סַחֲרָא לֵיהּ וְאִסְתַּמַּר וְאִקְרֵי קָדוֹשׁ.
In the same way myriads of emissaries go forth from the primeval celestial serpent, by whom Adam was seduced, to spy out the secret deeds of mankind. Whoever, therefore, strives to live a life of purity is assisted from on high, and is encircled by the protecting hand of his Master, and is called saintly.
Segment 3ג׳
אָתֵי בַּר נָשׁ לְאִסְתָּאֲבָא, כַּמָּה חֲבִילִין טְהִירִין אִזְדַּמְּנוּ לֵיהּ. וְכֻלְהוּ (סחרן) שַׁרְיָין בֵּיהּ וּמְסַחֲרִין לֵיהּ וּמְסָאֲבִין לֵיהּ וְאִקְרֵי טָמֵא, וְכֻלְּהוּ אָזְלֵי וּמַכְרְזֵי קַמֵּי, טָמֵא טָמֵא כְּמָה דְאַתְּ אָמֵר, (ויקרא י״ג:מ״ה-מ״ו) וְטָמֵא טָמֵא יִקְרָא. וְכֻלְּהוּ קְטִירִין בְּהַהוּא חִיוְיָא קַדְמָאָה וּסְתִירִין בְּכַמָּה עוֹבָדֵי עָלְמָא.
On the other hand, when a man seeks to pollute himself, hosts of demons, who lie in wait for him, hover over him and surround and pollute him, so that he is called unclean. They all walk in front of him and cry, “unclean, unclean”, as the Scripture says, “and he shall cry, Unclean, unclean” (Lev. 13, 45).’
