שְׁכִינְתָּא אִתְקְרִיאַת אוֹת בְּרִית מִסִּטְרָא דְצַדִיק יְסוֹד עוֹלָם זֹאת אוֹת הַבְּרִית בְּסִינַי (ס"א ביני). עַמּוּדָא דְאֶמְצָעִיתָא. וּבֵין בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל נֶצַ"ח הוֹ"ד. אוֹת דָא צַדִּיק, הִיא דָא שְׁכִינְתָּא (שמות ל״א:י״ז) כִּי שֵׁשֶׁת יָמִים עָשָׂה יְיָ אֶת הַשָׁמַיִם מִכֶּתֶ"ר עַד עַמּוּדָא דְאֶמְצָעִיתָא. דְּלֵית שִׁית בְּכָל אֲתַר אֶלָּא מִסִּטְרָא דְּאָתְּ ו' וְלֵית שְׁבִיעִי אֶלָּא מִטְרָא דְּאָתְּ י' עֲטָרָה עַל רֵישֵׁיהּ חָכְמָ"ה עִלָּאָה אוֹת הִיא חָכְמָה תַתָּאָה אוֹת הִיא. וְתַּקִינוּ לְמִגְזָר לִתְמָנְיָּיא דְּאִיהוּ תַמָּן חָכְמָ"ה עַד יְסוֹד לְקָבְּלָא בְּהוֹן י' זְעִירָא לְסַלְקָא לָהּ עַד כֶּתֶר לְמֶהוֵי עֲטָרָה עַל רָאשֵׁיהוֹן וְתַּקִינוּ לְשָׁוְיָּיא עָרְלָה בְּמָנָא וְעַפְרָא לְקַיֵּים (ישעיהו ס״ה:כ״ה) וְנָחָשׁ עָפָר לַחְמוֹ:

The Shekinah is called the sign of the covenant from the side of the Righteous One, foundation of the world. “This is the sign of the covenant” — in Sinai (a variant reads: between Me): the Central Column. “And between the children of Israel”: netzach, hod. “A sign” — this is the Righteous One; “it is” — this is the Shekinah. (Ex. 31, 17) “For in six days the Lord made the heavens” — from keter down to the Central Column; for there is no six in any place except from the side of the letter Vav, and there is no seventh except from the side of the letter Yod, a crown upon his head. Supernal chochmah — it is a sign; lower chochmah — it is a sign. And they instituted to circumcise on the eighth day, for chochmah is there, down to yesod, to receive in them the small Yod, to raise her up to keter, to be a crown upon their heads. And they instituted to set the foreskin in a vessel with dust, to fulfil (Isa. 65, 25) “and dust shall be the serpent's food.”
