Segment 1
That boy opened again and said: “For the fragrance of your good oils” (S.S. 1, 3). For the fragrance of what? But there is fragrance and there is fragrance: the fragrance of the offering and the fragrance of the incense.
And therefore there were two altars: the altar of incense and the altar of the burnt-offering. The altar of incense is the inner one; the altar of the burnt-offering is the outer. The fragrance of the altar of the burnt-offering is set to illumine the lower lamps; the fragrance of the altar of incense is set to illumine the supernal lamps. And therefore, “For the fragrance of your good oils” — for the fragrance of that incense, “your good oils.”
Segment 3
