One who marries a virgin performs the intercourse of the mitzvah, completes his act and separates at once. Even if she is a minor whose time to see has not come and she has not seen, and even if she examined and did not find blood, she is unclean, lest she saw a drop of blood the size of a mustard seed and the semen covered it. Hagah [Rema]: Hagah [Rema]: And there are those who are lenient if she did not see blood (Hagahot Maimoni in the name of 'there is one who says'); and they were accustomed to be lenient if he did not complete the act, but only made the beginning of an act with her, and she did not see blood. But if he came in to her in an actual act, he must separate from her even though she did not see blood (Tur and Beit Yosef in the name of most of the poskim). And a scrupulous man shall be concerned for himself, not to sport with young girls. And she must make a cessation in cleanness and examine all the seven, and she shall not begin to count until the fifth day from her intercourse. And he conducts himself with her according to all the laws of niddah (a woman in her menstrual impurity) as to keeping apart; save that with one who is a niddah in the full sense it is forbidden for him to sleep upon her bed even when she is not in the bed, whereas with this one it is permitted for him to sleep in that same bed after she has risen from beside him, and even on a sheet that has blood upon it.
