Se’if 1א׳
The broken pieces are appraised for the one damaged, and he pays him in addition to them; it contains one se'if. They appraise for one who damages with his hand in the same way as they appraise for him if his property damaged. How so? If he killed his fellow's animal or broke his vessels, they appraise how much the animal was worth and how much the carcass is worth, and how much the vessel was worth when it was whole and how much it is worth now, and he pays the loss in value to the one damaged, together with the carcass or the broken vessel, in the manner that was explained regarding his ox that was damaged, in siman 403.
