דין הזיק שור של שואל לשל משאיל או איפכא. ובו סעיף אחד: שאל פרה בסתם והזיק שורו של שואל לשורו של משאיל אפי' אם הוא תם משלם נזק שלם שאפי' אם הוזק משור דעלמא צריך לשלם דמסתמא צריך לשומרו שלא יוזק ושלא יזיק ואם קבל עליו שמירתו שלא יזיק אבל לא שלא יוזק והזיקו (שורו) של שואל תם משלם חצי נזק ומועד נזק שלם ואי אזקיה תורא דמשאיל לתורא דשואל והשאלה הית' בסתם בין תם בין מועד פטור ואי אזיק לתורא דעלמא שואל בעי לשלומי שעליו מוטל לשומרו שלא יזיק ואם קיבל עליו לשמרו שלא יוזק אבל לא שלא יזיק והזיק לשורו של שואל משלם לו המשאיל תם חצי נזק ומועד נזק שלם:

The law where the borrower's ox damaged the lender's, or the reverse; it contains one se'if. If he borrowed a cow without specifying, and the borrower's ox damaged the lender's ox — even if it is not forewarned, he pays full damage; for even if it was damaged by any other ox he must pay, since without specifying he must guard it so that it is not damaged and so that it does not do damage. And if he took upon himself its guarding so that it would not do damage, but not so that it would not be damaged, and the borrower's (ox) damaged it: one not forewarned pays half damage, and a forewarned one full damage. And if the lender's ox damaged the borrower's ox, and the borrowing was without specifying, whether it is not forewarned or forewarned, he is exempt; and if it damaged an ox of anyone else, the borrower must pay, for it is laid upon him to guard it so that it does not do damage. And if he took upon himself to guard it so that it would not be damaged, but not so that it would not do damage, and it damaged the borrower's ox, the lender pays him: one not forewarned, half damage, and a forewarned one, full damage.
