Segment 1א׳

ויעל לוט מצוער וגו' מגו הורמנותא דמלכא אתפרשא מסטרא דימינא חד התוכא דקטורא דגולפא מתדבקא בגו התוכא דדהבא מסטרא דשמאלא בגו מסאבו (דיצריה) (נ"א ודיוריה) ואתעביד דקטורא חדא דאילנא

AND LOT WENT UP OUT OF ZOAR, ETC. From within the King’s authority there was separated off from the right side one dross of the knot of the engraving, cleaving within the dross of gold from the left side, within uncleanness; and there was made one knot of the tree.

Segment 2ב׳

כד בעא יצחק לאתערא בעלמא בתוקפיה דדינא קשיא אתתקף ופריש דרגין מקיומייהו ואתתקף אברהם ופריש ההוא דקטורא חדא דאילנא מגו ההוא מסאבו,

When Isaac sought to be roused in the world in the strength of stern judgement, he prevailed and severed grades from their standing; and Abraham prevailed and severed that one knot of the tree from that uncleanness,

ההוא נחש קדמאה עאל באנביה דההוא אילנא ואיהו חמרא דשתא ואוליד תרין דרגין קטירין דא בדא ואינון דרגין דסחרן בסטר מסאבו חד אקרי מלכו"ם וחד אקרי פעו"ר

That primeval serpent entered into the fruit of that tree — and it is the wine that he drank — and it begot two grades knotted one to the other; and these are the grades that circle on the side of uncleanness. One is called Milcom and one is called Peor.

Segment 4ד׳

דא עיטא דאתכסיא ודא עיטא דאתגליא, פעור דאתגליא איהו וכל עובדוי באתגליא, מלכו"ם דאתכסיא איהו וכל עובדוי באתכסיא מאלין תרין אתפרשן זינין סגיאין לזנייהו וסחרן ימא רבא ולכל אלין סטרי מסאבו, וכל חד וחד שף (נ"א נזף) לדוכתיה,

The one is the counsel that is concealed and the other the counsel that is revealed. Peor is the revealed one, and all his works are in the open; Milcom is the concealed one, and all his works are in concealment. From these two there branch off many species after their kinds, and they circle the great sea and all these sides of uncleanness, and each and every one creeps to its place,

כגוונא דא איהו לתתא, לוט אתפרש מאברהם ושוי דיוריה באנשי סדום כד אתער דינא בהו אדכר לאברהם ושלח ליה מתמן ואתפריש מנייהו,

Similarly it is below. Lot separated from Abraham and set his dwelling among the men of Sodom. When judgement was roused against them, He remembered Abraham and sent him out from there, and he was separated from them.
