Section 52 of 86 in Vayechi — 6 segments

Segment 1

Tosefta. The sound of a wheel turning from below upward; its chariots, its strikings, go and revolve. A sound of sweetness ascends and descends, goes and roams in the world. The sound of the shofar is drawn out in the depths of the grades; a grade circles round about it.

Segment 2

Two shovels are set, one on the right and one on the left, in two colours drawn one into the other, this one white and that one red; and the two of them turn the wheel above. When it turns to the right, the white ascends; and when it turns to the left, the red descends. And the wheel turns continually and is never still.

Segment 3

Two birds rise up, chirping, one to the side of the south and one to the side of the north. They fly in the air; the chirping and the sweet sound of the wheel join together as one, and then: “A psalm, a song for the sabbath day” (Ps. 92, 1). And all blessings flow in a whisper in this sweetness, out of the love of the sound of the shofar.
