רִבִּי יוֹסֵי פָּתַח וְאָמַר, (תהילים ב׳:י״א) עִבְדוּ אֶת ה' בְּיִרְאָה וְגִילוּ בִּרְעָדָה, וּכְתִיב, (תהילים ק׳:ב׳) עִבְדוּ אֶת ה' בְּשִׂמְחָה בֹּאוּ לְפָנָיו בִּרְנָנָה. תָּא חֲזֵי, כָּל בַּר נָשׁ דְּאָתֵי לְמִפְלַח לֵיהּ לְקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא, בְּצַפְרָא וּבְפַנְיָא בָּעֵי לְמִפְלַח לֵיהּ לְקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא.
R. Jose discoursed on the verse: “Serve the Lord with gladness, come before his presence with singing” (Ps. 100, 2). He said: ‘The service of prayer offered by man to the Holy One, blessed be He, should be carried out with gladness and with singing,
Segment 2ב׳
בְּצַפְרָא כַּד סָלִיק נְהוֹרָא, וְאִתְעָרוּתָא דִסְטַר יְמִינָא אִתְעַר בְּעַלְמָא, כְּדֵין בָּעֵי בַּר נָשׁ לְאִתְקַשְּׁרָא בִּימִינָא דְקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא, וּלְמִפְלַח קַמֵּיהּ בְּפוּלְחָנָא דִצְלוֹתָא. בְּגִין דִּצְלוֹתָא אַחְסִין תּוּקְפָא לְעֵילָא, וְאַמְשִׁיךְ בִּרְכָאן מֵעוּמְקָא עִלָּאָה לְכֻלְּהוּ עַלְמִין, וּמִתַּמָּן אַמְשִׁיךְ בִּרְכָאן לְתַתָּאֵי. וְאִשְׁתַּכְּחוּ עִלָּאִין וְתַתָּאִין מִתְבָּרְכָאן, בְּהַהוּא פּוּלְחָנָא דִצְלוֹתָא.
In the morning, when the light ascends and the arousal of the right side is aroused in the world, then a man should attach himself to the right hand of the Holy One, blessed be He, and serve before Him with the service of prayer; for prayer confers strength above, and draws blessings from the supernal depth to all the worlds, and from there draws blessings down to those below. So upper and lower are found blessed through that service of prayer.

פּוּלְחָנָא דִצְלוֹתָא, דְּקָא בָּעֵי בַּר נָשׁ לְמִפְלַח קַמֵּי קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא, (שמות כ"ט ע"א) בְּשִׂמְחָה וּבִרְנָנָה לְאַכְלָלָא לִכְנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל בֵּינַיְיהוּ, וּלְבָתַר לְיַיחֲדָא יִחוּדָא כְּדְקָא חָזֵי. דִּכְתִיב, (תהילים ק׳:ג׳) דְּעוּ כִּי ה' הוּא אֱלֹהִים, דָּא רָזָא דְּיִחוּדָא בְּרָזָא דְפוּלְחָנָא.
so that he may associate with him the Community of Israel; and then he should proclaim the unity in the fitting manner, as it says: “Know ye that the Lord he is God” (Ibid. 3).
