Segment 1א׳

(שמות ל״ח:כ״ט) וּנְחֹשֶׁת הַתְּנוּפָה שִׁבְעִים כִּכָּר, אָמַר רִבִּי יְהוּדָה, כָּל דָּא נַחְתָּא לְתַתָּא, בְּדִיּוּקְנָא עִלָּאָה דְּרָזָא דִּמְהֵימְנוּתָא. כְּגַוְונָא דָּא עֲבַד (דניאל ג) נְבוּכַדְנֶצַר הָרָשָׁע הַהוּא צַלְמָא דְּאַתְקִין. אָמַר רִבִּי יוֹסֵי, אִיהוּ לָא עָבִיד הָכִי, אֲבָל בְּחֶלְמֵיהּ חָמָא הָכִי, דְּהָא בְּחֶלְמֵיהּ חָמָא, (דניאל ב׳:ל״ד) רֵישָׁא דִּי דַּהֲבָא, וּלְבָתַר כַּסְפָּא, וּלְבָתַר נְחָשָׁא. וְאִי תֵּימָא פַּרְזְלָא וְחַסְפָּא אֲמַאי לָאו הָכִי. בְּגִין דְּלָאו אִינּוּן כְּדַאי לְאַעֲלָא לְקוּדְשָׁא, וְאִלֵּין תְּלָתָא אַחֲרָנִין עָאלוּ.

AND THE BRASS OF THE WAVING WAS SEVENTY TALENTS. Said R. Judah: ‘All this descends here below in the supernal image, containing the mystery of Faith. To the same pattern did Nebuchadnezzar make the image that he erected.’ R. Jose said: ‘It was not the image he made that was after the same pattern, but the image that he saw in his dream, an image made of gold, of silver and brass. Now, iron and clay were not worthy to enter into the work of the Tabernacle, but only those three metals. There is a recondite significance in the triad of metals.

Segment 2ב׳

וְרָזָא דִּילֵיהּ דְּמַשְׁכְּנָא, בִּתְלַת תְּלַת בְּאִלֵּין מַתְּכָן. וּבִשְׁאָרָא אַרְבַּע, כְּגוֹן תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וָשֵׁשׁ. וּכְגוֹן אַרְבָּעָה טוִּרִי אֶבֶן.

There were other materials that formed into tetrads, as the four fabrics consisting of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine linen, or the four rows of stones (in the breastplate).

Segment 3ג׳

אָמַר רִבִּי יְהוּדָה, מִנְּהוֹן בִּתְלַת. מִנְּהוֹן בְּד'. מִנְּהוֹן בִּתְרֵין. מִנְּהוֹן בְּחַד. אֲבָל כָּל סִדְרָא וְסִדְרָא לָאו אִיהוּ אֶלָּא בִּתְלַת. (ויצא קנ"ט ע"א) תְּלַת סִדְרִין אִינּוּן דְּמִתְפָּרְשִׁין לְכָל סְטָר, לְאַרְבַּע סִטְרֵי עָלְמָא, וְכָל סִדְרָא וְסִדְרָא דְּאִיהוּ לְכָל סְטָר, תְּלַת סִדְרִין אִינּוּן. וְאוֹקִימְנָא.

R. Judah said: ‘Some of them formed into threes, some into fours, some into twos, and again others were kept single. Nevertheless, an Order proper consists of a triad.

Segment 4ד׳

סִדְרָא קַדְמָאָה דְּלִסְטַר מִזְרָח, תְּלַת סִדְרִין אִינּוּן וְאִינּוּן תִּשְׁעָה סִדְרִין, בְּגִין דְּכָל סִדְרָא מֵאִינּוּן ג', אִית לֵיהּ תְּלַת סִדְרִין, וְאִשְׁתְּכָחוּ דְּאִינּוּן תִּשְׁעָה. וְכַמָּה אֶלֶף וְרִבְבָן תְּחוֹתַיְיהוּ. וְהָנִי סִדְרִין תִּשְׁעָה, כֻּלְּהוּ מִתְנַהֲגֵי בְּאַתְוָון רְשִׁימָן. וְכָל סִדְרָא אִסְתְּכֵי לְאִינּוּן אַתְוָון רְשִׁימָן, וְהָא אוּקְמוּהָ. וְכֵן לְכָל סִדְרָא וְסִדְרָא, וְכֻלְּהוּ נַטְלֵי בְּאַתְוָון רְשִׁימָן. וְאִלֵּין עִלָּאֵי מֵאִלֵּין, וְקַיְימָן אִלֵּין עַל אִלֵּין. (נ"א ומתחברן כולהו ואמרי שירתא)

The first order, on the east side: they are three orders, and they are nine orders, because each order of those three has three orders, and they are found to be nine. And how many thousands and myriads are beneath them. And these nine orders are all guided by engraved letters. And each order looks to those engraved letters, and this has been explained. And so for each and every order, and they all journey by engraved letters. And these are higher than these, and these stand upon these. (A variant reads: and they all join together and utter song.)

וְכַד אִינּוּן אַתְוָון פַּרְחִין, גּוֹ אֲוִירָא דְּרוּחָא, הַהוּא דִּמְמָנָא עַל כֹּלָּא, כְּדֵין כֻּלְּהוּ נַטְלֵי, (נ"א ושירתא אתבסם) וְהָא אוּקְמוּהָ. וְחַד אָת בָּטַשׁ מִתַּתָּא, וְהַהוּא אָת סַלְּקָא וְנַחְתָּא, וּתְרֵין אַתְוָון פַּרְחֵי עָלֵהּ. וְהַאי אָת מִתַּתָּא, סַלְּקָא מִתַּתָּא לְעֵילָּא, וְאִתְחַבָּר בְּהוּ, וְאִתְעָבִידוּ תְּלַת אַתְוָון, כֻּלְּהוּ לְפוּם אַתְוָון יד"ו, דְּאִינּוּן תְּלַת גּוֹ אַסְפָּקָלַרְיָא דְּנַהֲרָא. מֵאִלֵּין אִתְפְּרָשׁוּ תְּלַת סִדְרִין. וְאִינּוּן אַתְוָון תְּרֵין, וְהַהוּא אָת דְּסַלְּקָא מִתְחַבְּרָא עִמְּהוֹן, וְאִינּוּן תְּלַת.

And when those letters fly within the air of the spirit — that which is appointed over all — then they all journey (a variant reads: and the song is made sweet), and this has been explained. And one letter strikes from below, and that letter ascends and descends, and two letters fly above it. And this letter from below ascends from below upward and joins with them, and they become three letters, all according to the letters Yod-Daleth-Vau, which are three within the luminous mirror. From these the three orders were divided. And they are two letters, and that letter which ascends joins with them, and they are three.
