Segment 1
Opened Rabbi Shim'on and said: Woe to one who stretches his hand into the glorious exalted Beard of the Holy Elder, hidden and secret over all; the beard of that praise; the Beard that is secret and glorious over all His settings; the Beard that those above and below do not know; the Beard of that praise of all praises; the Beard that no prophet or holy man has come near enough to see; the Beard whose hairs hang to the heart's navel; white as snow, glorious of glories, hidden of hidden things, faith of faiths of all.
Segment 2
It is taught in the Concealed Book that this beard, the faith of all, goes out from His ears, and goes down around the Holy Mouth, and goes down and up and covers the (myriad) offering of good spices, gloriously white, going down measuredly and covering to the navel. It is the beard of glory, complete faith, in which stream thirteen flows, springs of good anointing oil, in thirteen settings set.
Segment 3
The first adornment. The hair is set in order from above, and begins from that adornment of the hair of His head which goes up in its adornments above His ears; and it descends before the opening of the ears in one thread, in a good balance, down to the corner of the mouth.
