Segment 1א׳
(שמות י״ב:מ״ג) וַיֹּאמֶר יְיָ' אֶל מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן זֹאת חֻקַּת הַפָּסַח וְגוֹ'. כ"ח פִּקּוּדָא דָּא, לְמִשְׁחַט פֶּסַח בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִם, בְּי"ד בְּנִיסָן, דּוּכְרָנָא דְּהַהוּא פֶּסַח דְּמִצְרַיִם. וְדָא אִיהוּ חוֹבָתָא עַל כֹּלָּא, כְּמָה דְּאַתְּ אָמֵר, וְשָׁחֲטוּ אוֹתוֹ כָּל קְהַל עֲדַת יִשְׂרָאֵל בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִם.
THIS IS THE ORDINANCE OF THE PASSOVER: THERE SHALL NO STRANGER EAT THEREOF. This commandment is a memorial of the Passover of Egypt.
Segment 2ב׳
פֶּסַח דָּא, אִצְטְרִיךְ לְמֶהוֵי נָטִיר, מֵעֲשָׂרָה יוֹמִין וּלְהָלְאָה, דִּכְתִּיב בֶּעָשׂוֹר לַחֹדֶשׁ הַזֶּה וְיִקְחוּ לָהֶם וְגוֹ'. מַאי טַעֲמָא. בְּגִין דְּהָא כְּדֵין שָׁרִיאַת סִיהֲרָא לְאַנְהָרָא, מֵעֲשָׂרָה יוֹמִין וּלְהָלְאָה, עַד דְּאִשְׁתְּלִים בַּחֲמֵיסָר. וְאַרְבֵּיסָר דְּלֶיהֱוִי נָכִיס, בְּשַׁעֲתָא דְּדִינָא תַּלְיָא עַל עָלְמָא.
The lamb had to be kept from the tenth day of the month, because on that date the moon begins to increase her light until the fifteenth day, when she is in her full strength. The lamb was slaughtered on the fourteenth, “between the evenings”, namely at an hour when judgement hangs over the world.

רָזָא דָּא, לְאַעְבְּרָא זוּהֲמָא, מִקָּמֵי בְּרִית קַדִּישָׁא, וּלְאִתְהֲנָאָה בְּהַהוּא רֵיחָא דְּנָדִיף טְוִי נוּר. וְעַל דָּא לָא אַתְיָא אֶלָּא עַל שָׂבְעָא. וְעַל דָּא, וְכָל עָרֵל לא יֹאכַל בּוֹ. מַאן דְּאִית בֵּיהּ בְּרִית קַדִּישָׁא, יֵיכוּל בֵּיהּ. מַאן דְּלָא אִית בֵּיהּ בְּרִית קַדִּישָׁא, לָא יֵיכוּל בֵּיהּ. דְּהַאי מִבְּנֵי בְּרִית אִיהוּ לְתַבְרָא תּוּקְפָּא דְּחֵילָא אַחֲרָא, לְאַעְבְּרָא עָרְלָה מִקָּמֵי בְּרִית. בְּגִין כַּךְ, הַאי בִּבְנֵי בְּרִית אִיהוּ לְמֶעְבַּד, וְלָא בִּבְנֵי עָרְלָה.
It signified the removal of the impurity from the holy sign (of the circumcision). Therefore “no uncircumcised person should eat thereof’ (v. 48); for this sacrifice was brought by sons of the covenant, in order to break down the power of the “other side”, to remove the “foreskin,” from the sign of the holy covenant.
