Segment 1א׳

וְרָזָא דְּמִלָּה, תְּרֵין דַּרְגִין אִינּוּן לְעֵילָּא, דְּאִצְטְרִיךְ בַּר נָשׁ לְאִתְעַטְּרָא בְּהוּ, וְאִינּוּן רָזָא דִּמְהֵימְנוּתָא, וְאִינּוּן חַד. חַד, רָזָא דְּעֶבֶד. וְחַד, רָזָא דְּבֵן. וְהַאי עֶבֶד, אִקְרֵי אֲדוֹן כָּל הָאָרֶץ. בֵּן, כְּמָה דְּאוֹקִימְנָא בְּנִי בְכוֹרִי יִשְׂרָאֵל. וְכֹלָּא רָזָא חֲדָא דִּמְהֵימְנוּתָא. וְאִצְטְרִיךְ בַּר נָשׁ לְאִתְעַטְרָא בְּאִלֵּין דַּרְגִין, לְאִתְכַּלְּלָא בְּרָזָא דִּמְהֵימְנוּתָא.

And the mystery of the matter: there are two grades above with which a man must be crowned, and they are the mystery of faith, and they are one. One is the mystery of the servant, and one is the mystery of the son. And this servant is called “the Lord of all the earth.” The son, as we have explained: “My son, My firstborn, Israel.” And all is one mystery of faith. And a man must be crowned with these grades, to be comprised in the mystery of faith.

Segment 2ב׳

עֶבֶד, לְמִפְלַח בְּכָל זִינֵי פּוּלְחָנָא, בִּצְלוֹתָא דְּאִקְרֵי עֲבוֹדָה, כְּהַאי עֶבֶד דְּאִיהוּ רָזָא עִלָּאָה, דְּלָא שָׁכִיךְ לְעָלְמִין תָּדִיר. וְקָא מְשַׁבְּחָא וּמְנַגְּנָא תָּדִיר. וְהָא אִתְּמַר בְּפוּלְחָנִין אָחֳרָנִין, דְּכָל פּוּלְחָנִין וּמִלִּין דְּעָלְמִין כֻּלְּהוּ אִיהוּ עָבִיד וּפָלַח. וּבְגִין דָּא אִקְרֵי אָדוֹן, בְּגִין דְּאִיהוּ עֶבֶד לְמִפְלַח, אִקְרֵי אֲדוֹן כָּל הָאָרֶץ. בַּר נָשׁ דְּאִתְעַטָּר בְּרָזָא דָּא, לְמֵיהֱוִי עֶבֶד לְמִפְלַח פּוּלְחָנֵיהּ דְּמָארֵיה, אִיהוּ סָלִיק וְאִתְעַטָּר לְמֶהֱוִי בְּדַרְגָּא דָּא, וְאִקְרֵי אוּף הָכִי אֲדוֹן, דְּהָא אִיהוּ בַּרִיךְ בְּכָל אִינּוּן פּוּלְחָנִין, לְהַאי עָלְמָא, וְקִיֵּים לֵיהּ. וְעַל דָּא אִקְרֵי אֲדוֹן. (ס"א אדוני הארץ).

The servant, to serve with every kind of service, in prayer, which is called service — like this servant, who is a supernal mystery, who is never still at any time, but praises and makes music continually. And it has been stated of the other services, that all the services and all the matters of the worlds, he performs them all and serves. And therefore he is called Lord: because he is a servant to serve, he is called “the Lord of all the earth.” A man who is crowned with this mystery, to be a servant performing the service of his Master, ascends and is crowned to stand in this grade, and he too is called Lord; for it is he who blesses this world in all those services, and establishes it. And therefore he is called Lord. (Another reading: the lord of the earth.)

Segment 3ג׳

זַכָּאָה חוּלָקֵיהּ דְּהַאי בֵּן, דְּזָכֵי לְאִשְׁתַּדְּלָא לְמִנְדַּע בְּגִנְזֵי דְּאֲבוֹי, וּבְכָל רָזִין דְּבֵיתֵיהּ, כִּבְרָא יְחִידָאי דְּאַשְׁלְטֵיהּ אֲבוֹי בְּכָל גְּנָזוֹי, וְדָא אִיהוּ יְקָרָא, דְּשַׁלִּיט עַל כֹּלָּא מַאן דְּיִשְׁתְּדַּל בְּאוֹרַיְיתָא, לְמִנְדַּע לֵיהּ לְּקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא. וּבְאִינּוּן גְּנִיזִין דִּילֵיהּ, אִקְרֵי בֵּן לְּקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא, כָּל חֵילֵי שְׁמַיָא, לֵית מַאן דְּיִמְחֵי בִּידֵיהּ, בְּכָל שַׁעֲתָא דְּאִצְטְרִיךְ לְמֵיעַל לְגַבֵּי אֲבוֹי. זַכָּאָה חוּלָקֵיהּ בְּעָלְמִין כֻּלְּהוּ. וּבְגִין דָּא, כַּד אִשְׁתָּדַּל לְמִנְדַּע לֵיהּ בְּאֹרַח פְּרָט, בְּרָזָא דְּחָכְמְתָא, כְּדֵין אִקְרֵי בֵּן.

Happy is the portion of this son, who is worthy to labour to know the treasuries of his Father and all the mysteries of his house, like an only son whom his father has set in authority over all his treasures. And this is the honour, that he rules over all — he who labours in the Torah to know the Holy One, blessed be He. And in those hidden things of His he is called a son to the Holy One, blessed be He; and among all the hosts of heaven there is none who may hold back his hand at any hour when he needs to come in before his Father. Happy is his portion in all the worlds. And therefore, when he labours to know Him in a particular way, in the mystery of wisdom, he is then called a son.
