Se’if 1א׳

חֵלֶב שׁוֹר וְכֶבֶשׁ וָעֵז, אָסוּר. וְשֶׁל שְׁאָר מִינִים, מֻתָּר. כּוֹי, חֶלְבּוֹ אָסוּר.

The fat of an ox, of a lamb and of a goat is forbidden; and that of the other kinds is permitted. A koy (a beast whose status, whether domestic or wild, is in doubt) — its fat is forbidden.

Se’if 2ב׳

הַשּׁוֹחֵט אֶת הַבְּהֵמָה וּמָצָא בָּהּ עֻבָּר בֶּן שְׁמוֹנָה אוֹ בֶּן תִּשְׁעָה, בֵּין חַי בֵּין מֵת, חֶלְבּוֹ וְגִידוֹ מֻתָּר. וְהָא דִּבְּבֶן תִּשְׁעָה מֻתָּר, דַּוְקָא כְּשֶׁלֹּא הִפְרִיס עַל גַּבֵּי קַרְקַע, אֲבָל אִם הִפְרִיס עַל גַּבֵּי קַרְקַע, אָסוּר. וְיֵשׁ אוֹמְרִים שֶׁאִם שָׁלְמוּ לוֹ חֳדָשָׁיו וּמְצָאוֹ חַי, אַף עַל פִּי שֶׁלֹּא הִפְרִיס עַל גַּבֵּי קַרְקַע חֶלְבּוֹ אָסוּר, וְחַיָּבִין עָלָיו כָּרֵת, וּמוֹצִיאִין מִמֶּנּוּ כָּל הַחוּטִים וְהַקְּרוּמִים הָאֲסוּרִים בִּשְׁאָר הַבְּהֵמוֹת. וְחֵלֶב נֵפֶל אָסוּר אִם הִפִּילָה הַבְּהֵמָה.

One who slaughters an animal and finds an eight or nine month fetus whether it is alive or dead, its helev and sciatic nerve are permitted. A nine month [fetus] is specifically only permitted if it hasn't walked on the ground. However, if it walked on the ground, it is forbidden. There are those who say that if it completed its gestational period and was found alive, even though it did not walk on the ground, its helev and sciatic nerve are forbidden and [consumption] is punished by karet and we remove [from the animal] all the sinews and membranes that are forbidden in all animals. Rema: A prohibition descends on the helev if the animal is aborted.

Se’if 3ג׳

הוֹשִׁיט יָדוֹ לִמְעִי בְּהֵמָה וְתָלַשׁ חֵלֶב מִבֶּן תִּשְׁעָה חַי שֶׁבְּתוֹכָהּ, וְהוֹצִיאוֹ, חַיָּבִין עָלָיו מִשּׁוּם חֵלֶב כְּעַל חֵלֶב בְּהֵמָה גְּמוּרָה.

If he put his hand into the belly of an animal and tore off the fat of one born at nine months that is alive within it, and brought it out, they are liable for it on account of fat, just as for the fat of a fully grown animal.
