Se’if 1א׳

Konam (forbidden as an offering is) wine that I taste for one day, or: konam wine that I taste for a day — he is forbidden in it for twenty-four hours. And if he said: konam wine that I taste today, he is forbidden only until it grows dark, whether he stands at the beginning of the day or at its end. And he requires the asking of a sage, a decree lest another time he forbid one day upon himself, and not know to distinguish between today and one day, and come to drink at night. And there are those who say that if it was a vow of a mitzvah, such as to study or to fulfil some mitzvah, he requires no release. But in the mere acceptance of a fast, it is permitted to eat at once at night, and the release of a sage is not required (Beit Yosef in the name of the Ran).

Se’if 2ב׳

He said: on the day that I do such a thing I shall not eat that day — its law is as today, that he is permitted at night. And if he said: that day and the day after it — he is forbidden that day and the day after it and the night between them.

Se’if 3ג׳

He was standing in the middle of the week, or before it, and said: konam wine that I taste this week — he is forbidden until the completion of the whole week, and the Sabbath day that comes is forbidden as well. And he is permitted thereafter without the asking of a sage (Rabbeinu Yerucham, netiv 14). And if he said: one week, or: a week, without more — he is forbidden from moment to moment.
