Se’if 1א׳
One who slaughters must bless beforehand: "who sanctified us by His commandments and commanded us concerning the slaughtering"; and if he slaughtered and did not bless, it is valid. Hagah [Rema]: And if he slaughtered a thing in which a flaw has arisen and which requires examination, he shall slaughter it without a blessing, and when it is found valid he blesses over the slaughtering, provided that it be close to the slaughtering (in Or Zarua, the Laws of Covering, not in accordance with Rashi in a responsum). And if he slaughtered in the slaughterhouse, which is a filthy place, he shall bless at a distance of four cubits before he enters there, and he shall not speak until after the slaughtering. (Hagahot Shechitot Yeshanim in the name of Agudah)
Se’if 2ב׳
If he slaughtered domestic animals and wild animals and birds, one blessing serves for them all.
Se’if 3ג׳
Two who slaughter two living creatures — the one may bless so as to discharge his fellow's obligation; and that is where he intends to fulfil his obligation.
