Se’if 1א׳
A woman that has a regular period cycle, does not need to check herself at all. Not before intercourse and not after having had intercourse. And on the contrary, she should not check in front of her husband at the time of intercourse, so that his heart will not push him away (i.e. eliminate his desire). And the Rambam, Z"L, requires her to check after intercourse, she with one inspection-cloth and he with one inspection-cloth, and to look in them perhaps, she saw blood at the time of intercourse, and according to him, the modest women check themselves also before intercourse. (And the first view is core, and such is the practice.)
Se’if 2ב׳
If she has no fixed veset (the fixed time at which a woman's period comes), the first three times they must examine before intercourse and after intercourse, he with his own examining cloth and she with hers. And if she was established in those three times as one who does not see blood on account of intercourse, she thereafter needs no examination at all, neither before intercourse nor after intercourse. And according to the Rambam and the Rosh, all the time that she has no veset she needs examination for ever, before intercourse and after intercourse; and the Rambam requires that the husband too examine himself after intercourse. Hagah [Rema]: And they need not examine themselves after each and every act of intercourse that they perform in one night; rather they wipe themselves all the night with an examining cloth, and on the morrow they need an examination, and if blood is found she is unclean. (Beit Yosef in the name of the Rambam, chapter 4) She wiped herself with an examining cloth and it was lost — she shall not have intercourse until she examines herself, since she has no veset (ibid.).
Se’if 3ג׳
A woman who does not see within less than fourteen days after her immersion, but after fourteen days has no fixed time until the fourteenth day — her law is as the law of a woman who has a veset.
