Se’if 1א׳
כָּל סְחוֹרָה, אֲסוּרָה; אֲפִלּוּ כָּל שֶׁהוּא, בֵּין לִקְנוֹת בֵּין לִמְכֹּר; וַאֲפִלּוּ אִם הִלְוָה מָעוֹת עַל מְנַת שֶׁיִּתְּנוּ לוֹ אַחַר כָּךְ יַיִן אוֹ סְחוֹרָה אַחֶרֶת בְּפִרְעוֹן חוֹבוֹ כְּדֵי לְהִשְׂתַּכֵּר, אֵינוֹ יָכוֹל לֵילֵךְ וּלְתָבְעָם, אֶלָּא אִם כֵּן אֵינָם מְצוּיִים אַחַר הַמּוֹעֵד דַּהֲוָה לֵיהּ דָּבָר הָאָבֵד אִם לֹא יֵלֵךְ בְּחֹל הַמּוֹעֵד לִמְקוֹמָם וְיִתְבָּעֵם. הַגָּה: מִיהוּ אִם מִזְדַּמֵּן לוֹ רֶוַח מְרֻבֶּה בַּמּוֹעֵד, יָכוֹל לִמְכֹּר בְּצִנְעָה; וְיוֹצִיא לְשִׂמְחַת יוֹם טוֹב יוֹתֵר מִמַּה שֶּׁהָיָה דַּעְתּוֹ לְהוֹצִיא (בֵּית יוֹסֵף).
1. The Laws of Merchandise on Chol Hamoed, 14 Seifim: All merchandise (or commodities) are forbidden, even everything whether buying or selling and even a loan of a small coin on condition he gives him afterwards wine or other merchandise as a repayment of his obligation so he may earn. He may not go and demand [money or repayment] unless he will not be found after the holiday....
Se’if 2ב׳
מִי שֶׁהִלְוָה לַחֲבֵרוֹ מָעוֹת, מֻתָּר לְתָבְעוֹ בְּחֹל הַמּוֹעֵד לִגְבּוֹת מְעוֹתָיו; וְאֵין צָרִיךְ לוֹמַר שֶׁמֻּתָּר לִגְבּוֹת חוֹבוֹ מִן הָעַכּוּ"ם.
2. He who loans his friend coin(s) is permitted to demand on Chol Hamoed to collect (on what he is owed). And it goes without saying that it is permitted to collect an obligation from a gentile.
Se’if 3ג׳
מָכַר לַחֲבֵרוֹ פְּרַקְמַטְיָא קֹדֶם מוֹעֵד, יֵשׁ מִי שֶׁאוֹסֵר לִתְבֹּעַ דָּמֶיהָ בַּמּוֹעֵד, אֶלָּא אִם כֵּן יְהֵא הַלּוֹקֵחַ אָדָם שֶׁאֵינוֹ מָצוּי בִּמְקוֹם הַמּוֹכֵר וְנִזְדַּמֵּן לוֹ בְּחֹל הַמּוֹעֵד, דְּהָוֵי דָבָר הָאָבֵד; וְלִי נִרְאֶה שֶׁכֵּיוָן שֶׁזָּקַף עָלָיו הַמָּעוֹת בְּחוֹבוֹ קֹדֶם הַמּוֹעֵד הֲוָה לֵיהּ כְּהַלְוָאָה, וּמֻתָּר לִגְבּוֹת מִמֶּנּוּ בַּחֹל הַמּוֹעֵד, אֲפִלּוּ הוּא אָדָם שֶׁמָּצוּי בִּמְקוֹם הַמּוֹכֵר. הַגָּה: וְכֵן מֻתָּר לִקְבֹּל בְּמִשְׁפָּט בִּשְׁבִיל חוֹבוֹתָיו הַמֻּתָּרִים לִתְבֹּעַ (מָרְדְּכַי סוֹף פֶּרֶק מִי שֶׁהָפַךְ); וְכֵן מֻתָּר לַעֲשׂוֹת זְקִיפָה עִם חוֹבוֹתָיו בַּמּוֹעֵד, כְּדֵי לְהַבְטִיחָן דְּכָל זֶה בִּכְלַל דָּבָר הָאָבֵד, וְשָׁרֵי. (הַמַּגִּיד פ"ז ונ"י פִּרְקָא קַמָּא דמ"ק).
3. If one sold merchandise before the Moed there are those who forbid him to demand (collect) his money on the Moed unless someone will take something not found from the place of sale and by chance it is found to be a lost item on the Moed....
