Rav Yechiel, of the fifth Babylonian generation. He is named some thirteen times and in only four tractates, ten of them in Eruvin — one of the narrowest footprints in the whole index, and the sign of a sage whose few recorded positions all fall in one body of law.

The entry is marked for review. Beyond the generation, the centre and that distribution, the reference tradition holds little that can be stated firmly.
