Rav Tavyomi, of the fifth Babylonian generation. The name needs care: Mar bar Rav Ashi, of the seventh generation, was also called Tavyomi, and the roster keeps the two apart.

He is named some thirteen times across nine tractates, spread very thinly, with Bava Kamma the heaviest. The entry is marked for review; beyond the generation and the centre, the reference tradition holds little about this form that can be stated firmly.

Of the fifth generation.
