Rav Shmuel bar Bisna, of the fourth Babylonian generation, is named five times — twice in Ketubot, and once each in Avodah Zarah, Kiddushin and Niddah — and in two of those places he reports a teaching in Rav Nachman's name.

He is cited beside Abaye as well. The roster marks the entry for review; his generation and these citations are the firm facts about him.

Rarely cited.
