The Sages of the Talmud

Amora of Babylonia · 5th generation (c. 350–375 CE) — named 4 times across 4 tractates of the Bavli.

Rav Moshe, of the fifth Babylonian generation, is named four times, one apiece in Bechorot, Shabbat, Taanit and Zevachim, and once another sage reports a teaching in his name.

The name is very rare among the amoraim, and the roster marks the entry for review. Beyond the generation and those four citations, the reference tradition holds nothing about him that can be stated firmly.

Rarely cited.
