Rav Hamnuna was a student of Rav in the second Babylonian generation and is cited some two hundred and fifteen times across thirty-four tractates.

More than one sage bears the name, in more than one generation, and the Bavli's unqualified רב המנונא does not mark which is meant; they are not separated here, and the entry is marked for review. What can be said plainly is that the name belongs to Rav's circle at Sura and appears most in Shabbat, Berachot, Gittin and Sanhedrin.

More than one sage of the name; not separated here.
