The Sages of the Talmud

רב אחא בר הונא Rav Acha bar Huna

Amora of Babylonia · 4th generation (c. 320–350 CE) — named 14 times across 9 tractates of the Bavli.

Amora of Babylonia · 4th generation×14 named in the Bavli9 tractates

Rav Acha bar Huna, of the fourth Babylonian generation. He is named some fourteen times across nine tractates, heaviest in Bava Batra, and Rav Sheshet, Rabbah and Rava are the names he stands beside most.

The Talmud brings him in the ordinary exchanges of his generation. The reference tradition adds little beyond the generation and the centre, and this bio holds to that.

Of the fourth generation.
