רפרם Rafram bar Papa
Amora of Babylonia · 6th generation (c. 375–425 CE) — named 50 times across 22 tractates of the Bavli.
Rafram bar Papa, of the late Babylonian generations, taught at Pumbedita. He is quoted in others' names some fourteen times, most often carrying Rav Chisda's teachings to a later generation, and he appears beside Rav Ashi in the discussions of the last amoraic period.
He is cited some fifty times across twenty-two tractates, spread thinly rather than gathered. The Talmud records his practice in matters of prayer and of the reading of the Torah, which is the kind of report a later generation preserves from a man whose conduct was taken as a model.
Of Pumbedita.
