רבי זריקא Rabbi Zerika

Amora of the Land of Israel · 3rd generation (c. 290–320 CE) — named 32 times across 17 tractates of the Bavli.

Amora of the Land of Israel · 3rd generation×32 named in the Bavli17 tractates

Rabbi Zerika, of the third amoraic generation in Eretz Yisrael. He is named some thirty times across seventeen tractates, spread thinly, with Beitzah, Berachot and Menachot the heaviest.

Ten of his citations carry a teaching in another's name — Rabbi Elazar's, Rav Yehuda's, Rabbi Ami's — which places him among the transmitters of his generation as much as among its disputants.

Of Eretz Yisrael.
