רבי יצחק בן אלעזר Rabbi Yitzchak ben Elazar
Amora of the Land of Israel · 4th generation (c. 320–350 CE) — named 10 times across 7 tractates of the Bavli.
Rabbi Yitzchak ben Elazar, of the fourth amoraic generation in Eretz Yisrael, was of Caesarea, where the sages of the land kept an academy in the later generations.
He is named some ten times across seven tractates, heaviest in Ketubot and Moed Katan, and Rabbi Yochanan's rulings and Rabbi Chiya bar Abba are the company he keeps. The reference tradition adds little beyond his generation and his city.
Of Caesarea.
