Rabbi Shimon berabbi, of the last tannaitic generation, was the son of Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi, and the Talmud cites him in his father's circle alongside Rabbi Chiya and Bar Kappara.

He is named some forty-six times, spread across twenty-three tractates without gathering anywhere. Rebbi's instructions concerning him, and the arrangements he made for his household before his death, are recorded in the Talmud's account of Rebbi's last days. His brother Rabban Gamliel succeeded their father as nasi.

Son of Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi.
