רבי שמעון בן אליקים Rabbi Shimon ben Elyakim
Amora of the Land of Israel · 2nd generation (c. 250–290 CE) — named 11 times across 8 tractates of the Bavli.
Rabbi Shimon ben Elyakim, of the second amoraic generation in Eretz Yisrael, was a student of Rabbi Yochanan.
He is named some eleven times across eight tractates, spread so thinly that no tractate carries more than two, and the company he keeps is Rabbi Yochanan's circle — Rabbi Elazar, Rabbi Chanina bar Chama. Where the Bavli brings him it is usually as the link in a chain, carrying a ruling of an earlier generation down to his own.
A student of Rabbi Yochanan.
