Rabbi Elazar berabbi, of the fifth tannaitic generation, is cited as a son of Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi.

He is named some ten times in only four tractates, seven of them in Meilah — as narrow a distribution as the index holds, and the mark of a sage preserved for a single cluster of rulings. The entry is marked for review, and beyond his line and those counts the reference tradition holds little that can be stated firmly.

Cited as Rebbi's son.
