Rabbi Elazar bar Yannai, of the second amoraic generation in Eretz Yisrael, is named four times — twice in Chullin, and once each in Beitzah and Gittin.

The roster marks the entry for review, since the Bavli's forms do not always separate him from the other sages called Elazar. Beyond his generation and those citations, the reference tradition holds little that can be stated firmly.
