Rabbi Dostai ben Yehuda, of the fourth tannaitic generation, is named six times, half of them in Kiddushin and the rest in Arachin, Bava Kamma and Chullin. He is cited in the company of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.

The roster marks the entry for review, since the Bavli's forms do not always separate him from the other tannaim called Dostai. Era, generation and these citations are what can be said of him with confidence.

Rarely cited.
