Rav Chama bar Ukva, of the third amoraic generation in Eretz Yisrael, is named four times — twice in Pesachim, once each in Menachot and Yevamot — and in two of those places he reports a teaching in an earlier sage's name, Rabbi Yose bar Chanina's among them.

He is cited beside Rabbi Chanina bar Chama. The roster holds a second entry for the same name written with the title rabbi, and marks both for review: the Bavli's spellings do not settle whether one man or two stands behind them.

Rarely cited.
