Rabbi Binyamin, of the third amoraic generation in Eretz Yisrael, is named six times across five tractates, one of those occurrences the name standing inside another sage's patronymic rather than a citation of his own. Once he reports a teaching in Rabbi Elazar's name.

He is cited beside Rabbi Yochanan and Rabbi Abbahu — the Tiberias and Caesarea circles of his generation. The roster marks the entry for review, and beyond that company the reference tradition holds little about him that can be stated firmly.

Rarely cited.
