בּוֹטֵחַ בְּלִבּוֹ הוּא כְסִיל וְהוֹלֵךְ בְּחָכְמָה הוּא יִמָּלֵֽט
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool; But whoso walketh wisely, he shall escape.
נוֹתֵן לָרָשׁ אֵין מַחְסוֹר וּמַעְלִים עֵינָיו רַב־מְאֵרֽוֹת
He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack; But he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
בְּקוּם רְשָׁעִים יִסָּתֵר אָדָם וּבְאָבְדָם יִרְבּוּ צַדִּיקִֽים
When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; But when they perish, the righteous increase.
אִישׁ תּוֹכָחוֹת מַקְשֶׁה־עֹרֶף פֶּתַע יִשָּׁבֵר וְאֵין מַרְפֵּֽא
He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck Shall suddenly be broken, and that without remedy.
בִּרְבוֹת צַדִּיקִים יִשְׂמַח הָעָם וּבִמְשֹׁל רָשָׁע יֵאָנַֽח עָֽם
When the righteous are increased, the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people sigh.
