הִכּוּנִי בַל־חָלִיתִי הֲלָמוּנִי בַּל־יָדָעְתִּי מָתַי אָקִיץ אוֹסִיף אֲבַקְשֶׁנּוּ עֽוֹד
’They have struck me, and I felt it not, they have beaten me, and I knew it not; when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.’
אַל־תְּקַנֵּא בְּאַנְשֵׁי רָעָה וְאַל־תתאו לִהְיוֹת אִתָּֽם
Be not thou envious of evil men, Neither desire to be with them.
כִּי־שֹׁד יֶהְגֶּה לִבָּם וְעָמָל שִׂפְתֵיהֶם תְּדַבֵּֽרְנָה
For their heart studieth destruction, And their lips talk of mischief.
בְּחָכְמָה יִבָּנֶה בָּיִת וּבִתְבוּנָה יִתְכּוֹנָֽן
Through wisdom is a house builded; And by understanding it is established;
וּבְדַעַת חֲדָרִים יִמָּלְאוּ כָּל־הוֹן יָקָר וְנָעִֽים
And by knowledge are the chambers filled With all precious and pleasant riches.
