חֶסֶד וֶאֱמֶת יִצְּרוּ־מֶלֶךְ וְסָעַד בַּחֶסֶד כִּסְאֽוֹ
Mercy and truth preserve the king; and his throne is upheld by mercy.
תִּפְאֶרֶת בַּחוּרִים כֹּחָם וַהֲדַר זְקֵנִים שֵׂיבָֽה
The glory of young men is their strength; and the beauty of old men is the hoary head.
חַבֻּרוֹת פֶּצַע תמריק בְּרָע וּמַכּוֹת חַדְרֵי־בָֽטֶן
Sharp wounds cleanse away evil; So do stripes that reach the inward parts.
פַּלְגֵי־מַיִם לֶב־מֶלֶךְ בְּיַד־יְהוָה עַֽל־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר יַחְפֹּץ יַטֶּֽנּוּ
The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the watercourses: He turneth it whithersoever He will.
כָּֽל־דֶּרֶךְ־אִישׁ יָשָׁר בְּעֵינָיו וְתֹכֵן לִבּוֹת יְהוָֽה
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes; But the LORD weigheth the hearts.
