לֹא הַמֵּתִים יְהַֽלְלוּ־יָהּ וְלֹא כָּל־יֹרְדֵי דוּמָֽה
The dead praise not the LORD, Neither any that go down into silence;
וַאֲנַחְנוּ נְבָרֵךְ יָהּ מֵֽעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ
But we will bless the LORD From this time forth and for ever. Hallelujah.
אָהַבְתִּי כִּֽי־יִשְׁמַע יְהוָה אֶת־קוֹלִי תַּחֲנוּנָֽי
I love that the LORD should hear my voice and my supplications.
כִּֽי־הִטָּה אָזְנוֹ לִי וּבְיָמַי אֶקְרָֽא
Because He hath inclined His ear unto me, Therefore will I call upon Him all my days.
אֲפָפוּנִי חֶבְלֵי־מָוֶת וּמְצָרֵי שְׁאוֹל מְצָאוּנִי צָרָה וְיָגוֹן אֶמְצָֽא
The cords of death compassed me, And the straits of the nether-world got hold upon me; I found trouble and sorrow.
