וַיִּצְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְהוָה בַּצַּר לָהֶם מִמְּצֽוּקוֹתֵיהֶם יַצִּילֵֽם
Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, And He delivered them out of their distresses.
וַיַּֽדְרִיכֵם בְּדֶרֶךְ יְשָׁרָה לָלֶכֶת אֶל־עִיר מוֹשָֽׁב
And He led them by a straight way, That they might go to a city of habitation.
יוֹדוּ לַיהוָה חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָֽם
Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
כִּי־הִשְׂבִּיעַ נֶפֶשׁ שֹׁקֵקָה וְנֶפֶשׁ רְעֵבָה מִלֵּא־טֽוֹב
For He hath satisfied the longing soul, And the hungry soul He hath filled with good.
יֹשְׁבֵי חֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת אֲסִירֵי עֳנִי וּבַרְזֶֽל
Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron—
