הִרְחַקְתָּ מִמֶּנִּי אֹהֵב וָרֵעַ מְֽיֻדָּעַי מַחְשָֽׁךְ
Friend and companion hast Thou put far from me, And mine acquaintance into darkness.
מַשְׂכִּיל לְאֵיתָן הָֽאֶזְרָחִֽי
Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite.
חַֽסְדֵי יְהוָה עוֹלָם אָשִׁירָה לְדֹר וָדֹר אוֹדִיעַ אֱמוּנָתְךָ בְּפִֽי
I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever; To all generations will I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth.
כִּֽי־אָמַרְתִּי עוֹלָם חֶסֶד יִבָּנֶה שָׁמַיִם תָּכִן אֱמוּנָתְךָ בָהֶֽם
For I have said: 'For ever is mercy built; In the very heavens Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness.
כָּרַתִּֽי בְרִית לִבְחִירִי נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי לְדָוִד עַבְדִּֽי
I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn unto David My servant:
