Psalms 49:5 · תהלים מט:ה

אַטֶּה לְמָשָׁל אָזְנִי אֶפְתַּח בְּכִנּוֹר חִידָתִֽי

I will incline mine ear to a parable; I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

Psalms 49:6 · תהלים מט:ו

לָמָּה אִירָא בִּימֵי רָע עֲוֺן עֲקֵבַי יְסוּבֵּֽנִי

Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my supplanters compasseth me about,

Psalms 49:7 · תהלים מט:ז

הַבֹּטְחִים עַל־חֵילָם וּבְרֹב עָשְׁרָם יִתְהַלָּֽלוּ

Of them that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches?

Psalms 49:8 · תהלים מט:ח

אָח לֹא־פָדֹה יִפְדֶּה אִישׁ לֹא־יִתֵּן לֵאלֹהִים כָּפְרֽוֹ

No man can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him—

וְיֵקַר פִּדְיוֹן נַפְשָׁם וְחָדַל לְעוֹלָֽם

For too costly is the redemption of their soul, and must be let alone for ever—
