Jeremiah 41:16 · ירמיהו מא:טז

וַיִּקַּח יוֹחָנָן בֶּן־קָרֵחַ וְכָל־שָׂרֵי הַחֲיָלִים אֲשֶׁר־אִתּוֹ אֵת כָּל־שְׁאֵרִית הָעָם אֲשֶׁר הֵשִׁיב מֵאֵת יִשְׁמָעֵאל בֶּן־נְתַנְיָה מִן־הַמִּצְפָּה אַחַר הִכָּה אֶת־גְּדַלְיָה בֶּן־אֲחִיקָם גְּבָרִים אַנְשֵׁי הַמִּלְחָמָה וְנָשִׁים וְטַף וְסָרִסִים אֲשֶׁר הֵשִׁיב מִגִּבְעֽוֹן

Then took Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after that he had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the men, even the men of war, and the women, and the children, and the officers, whom he had brought back from Gibeon;

Jeremiah 41:17 · ירמיהו מא:יז

וַיֵּלְכוּ וַיֵּֽשְׁבוּ בְּגֵרוּת כמוהם אֲשֶׁר־אֵצֶל בֵּית לָחֶם לָלֶכֶת לָבוֹא מִצְרָֽיִם

and they departed, and dwelt in Geruth Chimham, which is by Beth-lehem, to go to enter into Egypt,

Jeremiah 41:18 · ירמיהו מא:יח

מִפְּנֵי הַכַּשְׂדִּים כִּי יָרְאוּ מִפְּנֵיהֶם כִּֽי־הִכָּה יִשְׁמָעֵאל בֶּן־נְתַנְיָה אֶת־גְּדַלְיָהוּ בֶּן־אֲחִיקָם אֲשֶׁר־הִפְקִיד מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶל בָּאָֽרֶץ

because of the Chaldeans; for they were afraid of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor over the land.

וַֽיִּגְּשׁוּ כָּל־שָׂרֵי הַחֲיָלִים וְיֽוֹחָנָן בֶּן־קָרֵחַ וִֽיזַנְיָה בֶּן־הוֹשַֽׁעְיָה וְכָל־הָעָם מִקָּטֹן וְעַד־גָּדֽוֹל

Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,

Jeremiah 42:2 · ירמיהו מב:ב

וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָהוּ הַנָּבִיא תִּפָּל־נָא תְחִנָּתֵנוּ לְפָנֶיךָ וְהִתְפַּלֵּל בַּעֲדֵנוּ אֶל־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּעַד כָּל־הַשְּׁאֵרִית הַזֹּאת כִּֽי־נִשְׁאַרְנוּ מְעַט מֵֽהַרְבֵּה כַּאֲשֶׁר עֵינֶיךָ רֹאוֹת אֹתָֽנוּ

and said unto Jeremiah the prophet: ‘Let, we pray thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us;
