Jeremiah 8:20 · ירמיהו ח:כ

עָבַר קָצִיר כָּלָה קָיִץ וַאֲנַחְנוּ לוֹא נוֹשָֽׁעְנוּ

’The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.’

Jeremiah 8:21 · ירמיהו ח:כא

עַל־שֶׁבֶר בַּת־עַמִּי הָשְׁבָּרְתִּי קָדַרְתִּי שַׁמָּה הֶחֱזִקָֽתְנִי

For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I seized with anguish; I am black, appalment hath taken hold on me.

Jeremiah 8:22 · ירמיהו ח:כב

הַצֳרִי אֵין בְּגִלְעָד אִם־רֹפֵא אֵין שָׁם כִּי מַדּוּעַ לֹא עָֽלְתָה אֲרֻכַת בַּת־עַמִּֽי

Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?

Jeremiah 8:23 · ירמיהו ח:כג

מִֽי־יִתֵּן רֹאשִׁי מַיִם וְעֵינִי מְקוֹר דִּמְעָה וְאֶבְכֶּה יוֹמָם וָלַיְלָה אֵת חַֽלְלֵי בַת־עַמִּֽי

Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

מִֽי־יִתְּנֵנִי בַמִּדְבָּר מְלוֹן אֹֽרְחִים וְאֶֽעֶזְבָה אֶת־עַמִּי וְאֵלְכָה מֵֽאִתָּם כִּי כֻלָּם מְנָאֲפִים עֲצֶרֶת בֹּגְדִֽים

Oh that I were in the wilderness, In a lodging-place of wayfaring men, That I might leave my people, And go from them! For they are all adulterers, An assembly of treacherous men.
