וְהָיָה כִֽי־נִרְאָה כִּֽי־נִלְאָה מוֹאָב עַל־הַבָּמָה וּבָא אֶל־מִקְדָּשׁוֹ לְהִתְפַּלֵּל וְלֹא יוּכָֽל
And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab hath wearied himself upon the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail
זֶה הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה אֶל־מוֹאָב מֵאָֽז
This is the word that the LORD spoke concerning Moab in time past.
וְעַתָּה דִּבֶּר יְהוָה לֵאמֹר בְּשָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנִים כִּשְׁנֵי שָׂכִיר וְנִקְלָה כְּבוֹד מוֹאָב בְּכֹל הֶהָמוֹן הָרָב וּשְׁאָר מְעַט מִזְעָר לוֹא כַבִּֽיר
But now the LORD hath spoken, saying: ‘Within three years, as the years of a hireling, and the glory of Moab shall wax contemptible for all his great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and without strength.’
מַשָּׂא דַּמָּשֶׂק הִנֵּה דַמֶּשֶׂק מוּסָר מֵעִיר וְהָיְתָה מְעִי מַפָּלָֽה
The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, And it shall be a ruinous heap.
עֲזֻבוֹת עָרֵי עֲרֹעֵר לַעֲדָרִים תִּֽהְיֶינָה וְרָבְצוּ וְאֵין מַחֲרִֽיד
The cities of Aroer are forsaken; They shall be for flocks, Which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
