King of Yehudah who came to the throne at eight. When the Torah scroll was found during Temple repairs in his eighteenth year he tore his clothes, renewed the covenant, and led a sweeping reform destroying idolatrous shrines throughout the land, before dying in battle against Pharaoh Necho at Megiddo (2 Kings 22-23).

Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father’s stead in Jerusalem.
A spelling is not a name.
