God's four-letter Name — the Tetragrammaton, which the Rambam calls the Shem HaMeforash, the Name set apart (Foundations of the Torah 6:2). It is never pronounced as it is written: in prayer and in the reading of the Torah it is said as Ado-nai, and in ordinary speech Hashem. It stands in the Tanakh more often than any other Name.
עַתָּה יָדַעְתִּי כִּי הוֹשִׁיעַ יְהוָה מְשִׁיחוֹ יַעֲנֵהוּ מִשְּׁמֵי קָדְשׁוֹ בִּגְבֻרוֹת יֵשַׁע יְמִינֽוֹ
